2008

Appointed Managing Director, RadMark (Pty) Ltd, the leading media marketing solutions provider in Africa, representing a number of well known media brands like East Coast Radio (KZN), Heart FM (WC), Gagasi (KZN), Jacaranda FM (GP) and Kaya FM(GP). Radmark (Pty) Ltd is owned by Kagiso Media and LARI (Lagardere Active Radio International – a French multinational). 

1999-2007

Appointed in 1999 as the Managing Director, Trader Media South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UK based Guardian Media Plc.  Trader Media SA (Pty) Ltd publishes Auto Trader, Auto Freeway (Cape Town, KZN and Gauteng), Commercial Trader, Bike & Leisure Trader and autotrader.co.za.  Collectively, Trader Media SA has approx. 900 000 readers/viewers per week.

1989 – 1998

Various middle to senior management positions as a publisher in Healthcare (Medical Association of South Africa), Newspapers, Construction, Engineering, FMCG, Retail, Sales and Marketing (Primedia, National Publishing and Independent Newspapers).

Current research

Reading towards an MA (Applied Ethics) at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Research interest is reputation management and the development of the corporate conscience.

Personal

He is married to Sharon and they have two daughters.

    Very interesting. Most business people have been affected in one way or another by those with a lcak of ethics.

    When recruiting I always asked candidates to list their core values. I remember frequently seeing “honesty” listed with many candidates as a core value, but far less of the time “ethics” I wonder how often we cognitively consider our ethics (or lack thereof)?

    I am glad to see that you have taken the next step, and wish you every success in your new venture.

    Striking subject matter – Ethics. Married to our conscience and unlike marriage, even death cannot part us from our conscience (from a Christian perspective).

    I wish you success in influencing the business world with this fundamental truth of life – a good name is preferred above riches.
